This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which MHT & MHTML Editor/Viewer ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users ("User"). This policy applies to the App and all products and services offered by us.

            Data Safety Summary: We do not collect personal data like your name, email, or address. Your documents are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
        

1. Permissions Used

To provide its core functionality, the App requires the following permissions and system access:

INTERNET: Required to download and display advertisements via Google AdMob and to fetch web content if requested by the user.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check if the device has an active internet connection before attempting to load ads or external resources.
Storage Access Framework (SAF): The App uses the standard Android system picker to allow you to select specific files. This avoids the need for broad "Storage" permissions and ensures we only access the files you explicitly choose.

2. Personal Identification Information

We do not collect personal identification information from Users. Users may use the App anonymously. We do not require account registration or login to access the core features of the App.

3. Non-personal Identification Information (Advertising)

The App uses Google AdMob to provide advertisements. AdMob may collect certain non-personal information to serve relevant ads, including:

Device identifiers (Android Advertising ID).
Device information (model, hardware, OS version).
General location data (derived from IP address).
Ad interaction data (clicks and views).

4. Local Storage and Data Persistence

To provide a better user experience, the App stores the following data locally on your device:

History & Favorites: We use a local database to remember your recently opened files and bookmarked documents.
Cache: Temporary files generated during MHT/MHTML rendering are stored in the App's private cache directory and can be cleared by the User at any time within the App settings.

Note: This data never leaves your device and is deleted if you uninstall the App.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our records.

6. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Users in the European Union (GDPR) and California (CCPA) have specific rights regarding their data. Since we do not collect personal data, your rights are exercised by managing your local device data and AdMob preferences via Google Settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We have the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the top of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes.
